ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Uneven sound.

I helped my friend install a brand new stereo system to replace the oem one.

Now here's my problem , I wired everything correctly , even triple-checked all , the rear speakers barely gives out any bass while the front ones sound beautifully.

The damn torn rear oem speakers gives more bass than the new ones.

    Any ideas?

I repeat , all wirings were triple-checked and none are out-of-place.

Check the head unit settings...some of them have the option to use the rear outputs to feed an amp, and it would be a low level output if enabled, so you wouldn't get much volume without an amplifier. You should be able to disable that setting.

I had the same problem when I put my Pioneer 3 way speakers in the back of my car, I had to fade the audio to the back portion in order to balance out the level. I had an idea it might be because the pioneers were designed to be able to handle more wattage than the stock which I think is only 25 watts or less of power. Also if you wired in a new head unit that the output would definitely exceed the max wattage and maybe make the stock speakers fail prematurely.

That is exactly what the problem sounds like.
BUT he says he Triple checked ALL The wiring.

OP - If you swap the front outputs to the back speakers, does it sound any better?
That will confirm if the issue is the head unit, or the speakers/wiring.

I did try some reverse polarity on the back , but the output ended up much worse that it is already. Even installed the oem ones and they sound better. My thought is my friend bought some lemon speakers.

                I'd tend to agree.
Or they are just low sensitivity speakers.

Did you match the ohms and watts of the speakers front and rear? could be that your rear speakers need more power .... ugh ugh ugh (tim the tool man voice).

Also do you have the crap Bose system or a simple factory install without the factory amp? Bose amp puts base to the rear and highs to the front by default.

Crimping wires is also a no-no, solder that shit and liquid electrical tape them, loose joints lose power.
