Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    After mine snapped, I ended getting a "s2000" type antenna for 40 bux i think. Easy to replace, looks cool, and has decent reception even though i dont really listen to the radio lol

      Hey guys,
      I have the whole assembly which still works. When I bought the car the mast was already broken and hanging. So I bought a new mast for $17 from Ebay. But it goes up fine but does not go all the way down unless I help push it down. So I disable it from my head unit. But I still want to listen to the radio some times. Right now I can only get one station. Is there any way cheap without big time mod to improve reception without having to reactivate my power antenna?

        Well i had a motorized antenna when i bought the car, but it was broken just like yours. I just took out the motor and replaced the broken antenna with a standard non-motorized antenna from pep boys. It works great and i don't mind the antenna always up.

        But i don't know if you care if the antenna is non-motorized and is always up or you have to have motorized antenna which extends and retracts.

          I don't care if it motorized or not, but I do care if it's up. I rarely listen to the radio but some time I do. Most of the time I got a 32GB SD card for my MP3. But the kids around my area suck. They love to whip the antennas. Some you can some you shouldn't. One guy bought a new car and two days later his window was broken b/c the kid pulled the antenna down and let it go and it some how whip into his windows and broke it. The alarm just went off like crazy. So I don't want that to happen to me as I can't kill the kid on the street nor his parents. Lol.

              Price too much for that. I'll stick with what I have now. Maybe I'll run a wire to the body to give it better reception.

                Is it Posible too Repair the antenna when the worm gear is broken from inside the antenna?

                    Do you know if those Power antenna that they sell in autozone,advance auto, and so on is good for the money?
