Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    Small light fuse keeps popping

I NEED HELP. my "small light" fuse keeps popping. I've replaced it atleast 4-5 times within the past 2 weeks I don't believe this is normal. Its a 15a fuse and from my knowledge the dash lights go put as well as the back brake lights (only at night not when you push the brakes). I really need to figure out what's wrong because last night I got an 85$ ticket because of it not a 5 day tag? Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone solved it? Can anyone help me!

either theres a bulb socket with a loose connector somewhere, or a loose/broken wire shorting out.

does the fuse pop regularly? like when you hit a good bump? does every single light work properly when the fuse is installed, or is one out? at the age of these cars sometimes the sockets rust, sometimes the wires become loose, or sometimes you end up putting in a larger fuse (not recommended) and forgetting about it.

this. although if it was blowing regularly because of the wrong fuse size, itd be because the fuse was too small. definitely check to make sure the right size is in there, and dont put one in thats too big just to keep it from blowing. fuses are made as a protective feature to prevent an overcurrent situation, so like steve said, its either the wrong fuse size or you have something shorted out (most likely 2 causes).

I had the same problem you did, I had rust in one of the rear bulb sockets from a water leak geting in from the tail light. I replaced the little box and pigtail that go behind the tail light. After that problem solved.

I've been replacing it with 15a fuses as it recommends. One time I put in a 10a fuse and suprisingly that one lasted the longest. Yes it pops regularly, and when the fuse is in every light works as it should. the first 2 times it popped when taking a left, never really noticed when else it pops. I'll be checking all my lights as you've suggested. Hopefully I find something *fingers crossed*

Your radio wires are cut?? I just have a wire harness adapter hooked up to the main radio input (not sure what to call it). Anyways. I was checking out my rear tail lights to find water rust loose connections. I'm not sure if it's just the cb9 but they're kind of hard to get to. I had no luck finding loose connections. But I found tonnsss of water. My driver side tail light the left half not the trunk half was completely soaked around it. I also think my attenae motor isn't working because of the water in that area. I also found these 3 grey connectors while looking at my tailights. I tried pulling the one near the anetnnae motor out more but i couldnt. Can anyone tell me what these are? Hopefully this is causing some of my problem but I doubt it's gonna be that easy.

those 2 plugs u have hanging out are for the 6x9 speaker. As for that other plug I would have to check mine out, to see were it goes.

Thanks man I appreciate it. Could the short be happening because of these wires since I don't have the 6x9 there? (wasn't installed when I bought the car)

Wired up my radio today. Still blowing the fuse when I accelerate and or when I hit a bump in the road. Plus my left rear light for the break won't work swap out te bulbs they work in other sockets just not that one. Replaced my left lights on car and trunk on left .... Don't know what else to do. Only thing I can think of is I did replaced my alternator right b4 this.

I had the same problem a while back, it would come and go and sometimes not reveal itself for months at a time. Finally figured out it was a wire for the corner lights shorting on an edge of the radiator support. When I did my bay wire tuck, I didn't give that wire enough slack, so it rubbed through. Might not be your problem, but now you know they're part of that circuit and should be checked

I fixed it. The left side of the car and front support by the corner lights was smashed by previous owner so the wires showing grounging itself out on fender .thanx now I gotta get rid of popping noise from speakers when I switch my pre sets on my cd player. Supposed to get car boosted tomo missing some o2 housing bolts one that goes to turbo never ends so close but yet so far
