ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Radio keeps turning off when i put volume up.

Every time i put the music up on my aftermaket radio it keeps shutting off. The fuse in the fuse box where is say "radio" along with 7.5 is not blown. i removed it and inserted it back and the radio works again? Can the fuse be too weak? or is there something else possibly wrong.

Should I put a better fuse in it?

Never ever do that. The fuse isn't even blowing so it has no effect.

Make sure it has a good ground too.

If you are able to pop out you aftermarket set up check the wiring behind. It is possible your music knocked out a wire? Or possibly a ground.

It sounds like the radio is protecting itself. By pulling the fuse, you're resetting it. Check your wires and connections.

Pull your radio out and cut off all your speaker wires. Turn the radio up if it cuts off check for voltage and the red and yellow wire. If they check out your ground is bad. If it doesn't cut off hook the speakers back up one at a time, each time turning the radio up to see if it cuts off. If one dose it. Reset the radio and unhook the wire from the back of the speaker. With the speaker unhooked turn the radio up. If it cuts off you got a bad wire, if it doesn't you got a bad speaker

i resent that at the fact that im a best buy autotech employee . i note the fact that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but its not the store but the product.

to the op check that your constant wire (yellow) is getting constant 12v.
thats the most common sense we just fixed a car with the same problem yesterday. it was that 12v source. also like others mentioned check your ground

good luck ill check back later to see if you still have the problem ill scratch my brain for more solutions

aslo did you ever change out your speakers ? and are they amplified?

That sucks, u should hit up the JY and cut a plug out of CB and wire your shit correctly. Then u can get a harness and do it right.

thats good man glad u figured it out.

and yea exactly what hardinthepaint said get the original plug wire it back up and find ur self an after market wiring harness. not only will that make sure every thing that is suppose to be connected is connect but makes it easier for you to wire it up if u ever decide to up grade your stereo
