ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

A lot is possible when it comes to custom cars, you just need the time and money for it. Or maybe just the money, lol, but It's not as satisfying when I have somebody do all the work.

The idea is great, but not really doable for a daily CB.

Having a sub intergrated into the spare tire well in the trunk is one of the better ideas, which I've also been toying with myself. Shallow mount 10" sub in a box in the spare tire well, and then just have a cover over the sub so you can still use the trunk floor without damaging the sub.

I love my music and subs in a car, but I hate having big bulky and heavy boxes in the trunk. I'm all about the stealth installs too.

Another option I would play with is a trunk side mounted sub, like many SUVs and newer cars have. Could make one fit on the driver side of the trunk between the tail light & wheel well, but you'd have to make it removable for tail light access.

I made the mistake of taking my jack box in my pickup out for my amp, so when i was out on a back road and hit a rock, i could not change my tire and with no cell service i had to walk 8 miles home. I dont think it is worth taking out your speare tire to do that unless you are lucky and do not get flats haha but agreed i hate having the big box in the back of my accord, it takes up half the trunk but definitely worth it for the sound!!!

I was watching Pimp My Ride the other day and they did a car where the back seats split in the middle and slid out the doors, revealing screens and speakers underneath, while the rear seatback slid up to reveal some subs.

It was actually pretty bad ass.

I think that was on the Maxima they did the reverse gullwing rear doors on.
