ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Subs Under Rear Seat?

I wanted to Know if you could put Subs under The rear Seat of a Cb? I went to the JY and Saw a 1990 ex with the rear bottom seat off and it looked like there is enough room. Has anyone ever done this to a CB? (5in-10in+)

something like this but in a cb and in the rear

The only way you could pull this off would be by getting rid of the rear seat for a Plexiglas one or putting a new gas tank in the wheel well and then cutting down through the floor and modeling one in. I'd say its more work then its worth. 6" subs under the front seats you could do......

Coupes have cavitys in the sides by the back seats I'd love to do a sub box hidden in there. But I can't till I quit spl comps. It'll put me in different classes I don't want to be in..... I've seen people do amps down under the rear seat but they were small amps...

the gas tank is under the rear seats. its dooable but you would have to make the seats out of fiberglass and then padd them. i honestly think if you were going that route i would just do it to the rear seats as they have metal on there and could easily be modded to mount subs. the CD5 top rear seat is easily 50% lighter than cb top rear seat.

Why not hide a built in, in the trunk? It would be hidden and off to the side. Ive seen one made by someone on this site but i do believe he is banned so this might not help much. If you know how to mold fiberglass and what not then you could most likely do it youself.

how about putting a sub where the spare tire is in the trunk ? Of course you would lose the spare tire, but it would be hidden enough

I did that to my other cb but the subs sit deeper then the wheel well so I had to make a false floor for them to fit and there still not really hidden. And that's with 8" subs. It can be done with shallow mount subs and work just fine.
