ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Is a 1990 honda really worth all the effort of cuting through and then hotwiring? Im pretty sure id go for an easier steal.

It really depends, if you are lucky enough to have a good condition one, possibly with aftermarket upgrades, your risk significantly goes up. You got flashy rims? Your a target. Got brand stickers over your car for performance components/audio? Your a target. Got major underhood modifications? Your a target. Be careful who you brag about your "shit" too, if you go up to random strangers and start talking about all the "shit" you got under the hood... don't expect it to be there when you wake up.

I'm paranoid about my cb, its been parked for over 2 years in the garage, and since we use the Fit primarily (which I park next to the cb, and have officially claimed the garage as mine ); She parks her car behind the cb (outside the garage), so if someone is going to try and steal it, their going to have to go through her car first.

IDK you're the one with the club on a 1990 Honda, if it isn't worth the effort then why the hell did u bother putting a club on it then? It takes VERY little to cut thru the steering wheel, less than a minute. So with that being said, your shit is "an easier steal".

no what im saying is a car theif would probably think twice about stealing this car because it has a club. If i was a car theif i would go for a car without a form of security such as a club. I dont park my car in sketchy areas and i live in a pretty good part of town. When i park my car at work, it sits in a very lively parking lot. ive had no problems so far, that why i recomended it.

... Not because of your club.

Don't get me wrong, the club is efficient coupled with other theft deterrent devices (alarm, kill switches, etc). But u are delusional to think that using the club by itself is going to make a thief think twice. I'm just letting u know, homie. Don't be nieve and think that shit because thats when u come out from work and have to call your mom to come pick u up because your shit is ghost.

im pretty sure there are many members on this website that do not have any form of security on their CB. I know the club is not the best form, but its something.

personally i dont use any other type of security for my car aside from viper alarms. After having my ef stolen and my cb broken into not too long ago i dont play any more i would go with a viper alarm and if your really serious i would chain it up at night because thieves are getting more and more creative in the methods they do to steal peoples car
