1) lojack costs more than any security system
2) lojack only works as well as your local pd, it doesnt alert you
3) a good tracking system costs a litle more and you can find it yourself

hey guys im bout to start doin shit to my 90 lx. and i was wondering whats the best security. so far all i have is a sub and amp in the trunk. but u knw u get those looks from random people when u bump ur shit. how does the whole killswitch thing work. and whats the cheapest alarm u can get but still have good security. i want sumtin loud ass hell. lol

Keep a Siberian tiger in your car...yeah that would work.

But honestly there is no "best" system. The best "deterrent" would be to install the kill switches and bolt your system to the car. Don't blast your system in neighborhoods or public place, just stay low key. The kill switch interrupts the electrical signal from the starter, ignition, or fuel pump and doesn't let the car start. It's literally a switch you get from the store and connect it between those wires.

As far as an alarm, I have a compustar with a one-way remote for about 100, installed by myself. It needs to be programmed to unlock some extra features, but its a very reliable one so far. I would get the two way remote, just because it's a better notification system versus hearing your siren go off from inside a building. If you want a loud siren, wire up multiple sirens and horns using a couple of relays or install a train horn set up to go off when the alarm does.

Is a 1990 honda really worth all the effort of cuting through and then hotwiring? Im pretty sure id go for an easier steal.

no joke its super easy youll need more then a min to bust that column apart pretty sure a flat head screwdriver in the switch turns it right over loll as seen on a 93 prelude ahaa i wouldnt steal my car eiether.
