10 inch Alpine Sub... That would be very helpful if Alpine only ever made 1 model of 10" sub.
Which model of 10?
What music do you listen to?
How much room can you give up?
Can you build your own box?
Do you already have an amp chosen?
Most likely ported. Unless you really wanna save space, then do sealed.

i previously owned 2x 10 inch in past. for sub box, you need to know the cubic feet each subwoofer need to perform at best performance. the choice of box depend of wich kind on sound you want. if you want loud bass, best choice is vented, if you want precise ''accruate'' punch the sealed is the best but you lost somes bass. the best is to try to get the sheet of the subwofer you own with all detail about subwoofer example:
Box Volume (includes Port and Speaker Displacement) 3.03 Cubic Feet
FB (Tuning Frequency) 41Hz
F3 (-3db roll-off) 23.7Hz
Ripple (Frequency Response Curve) 1.91
with these info you know you subwoofer need 3.03 cubic feet to drive at this maximum sound quality. after you design an home made box with your reqirement. 3.03 cubic feet in this example is for interior of box, not exterior.
Happy if this can help you.

ported is going to be louder, sealed is going to have a more solid hit, and well bandpass is pointless cause its not a suv lol so... and if ur going to build ur box look up torre's calc it will help u it will give u a cut list and everything.

This is what your talkin right? Single reflex box
hoestly it will sound like most house subs or an sub tube style box. ...id check out bose house sub boxes..... see if you like how they sound before you go that way...it wont get as loud but has an diffrent sound...

3+ cu. ft? WTF sub is that? I thought my boxes were big...
OP - find out what sub you have, get the specs (usually available from the manufacturer online) and build your box to match their recommendations for the style you like. Listen to simillar setups to what you'll run to decide which box you like better.

wouldnt recomend that, especialy if you are hooking both subs to the same amp, it will sound funny no mater what and if they are hooked up to the same amp it would be impossible to tune it properly as each sub is going to react differently being in different types of enclosure. ported boxes can be tight and clean just has to be designed and built properly. ported is also going to be more efficient.

Exactly, subs are so sensitive in fact that simply aligning them the same has some impact on the sound output (like both logos oriented the same way as opposed to the subs just being dropped in a box). This is something I heard YEARS ago.
As for output, ported will hit hardest at a certain range (that its tuned to) but a sealed box, the more square shaped the better will give you the most bass for the buck across the entire bass range. 1' to 1.5' is typical for a 10" sub. You also want to make sure each sub is in its own enclosure, regardless of the box design. Can be one box, but with 2 chambers, one for each sub. Subs sharing a single box can disrupt each other and you lose something with this setup.
Also, typically, whether in a trunk or hatchback, facing the sub(s) towards the rear of the car will usually result in harder hitting bass.
If your not overly concerned about HARD bass, just buy a prefab box, drop em in there and see how it sounds, if your happy with it your done, if not, return it to Best Buy, LOL. If you want to build a box, your options are many, I did know a guy years ago that built 2 sealed boxes and put them on either side of his trunk with the subs facing the middle of the trunk, looked and sounded good and he didnt lose much trunk space.
