Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Little help with SE wiring for stereo!!!!

    Little help with SE wiring for stereo!!!!

    Hi has any one installed an after market stereo deck on a 93 SE. Car has a Bose factory stereo, so the wiring harness on the car is different then the one that was on my lx. What do I need to do or buy thanks.

    do you have the se manuel? if so it should state what colors do what on the factory harness. you could cut the plug and match the wires accordingly.my personal opinion is too keep your bose system if its in decent condition. bose is top shelf audio, i worked for an audio store for three years. it doesnt get too much better than bose.

      No manuel, the Bose deck is gone the deck thats in there is old. The harness on the car has less wires. I will try to post a pic later tonight.

        you can usually get it online. itlll either be a diagram or just tell you whitch colors are witch. then i would reccomend that once you find them out get a harness with the generic colors (red, yellow, black, for your switch power and ground, blue, green, purple, grey,white for the speakers) so that way if you do it again you dont have the same problem.

          The SE harness, the one on the car has less wires what I need is a harness that has an amp integration adapter, in order for the speakers to work.

              The honda harness that you had on your LX will work in your SE. All you have to do is hook up the blue wire from the harness to the blue wire on the after market radio, and voila. That is used to turn on your factory bose amplifier.

                Thank you so much, but Where were you when I first posted this! LOL. Two days ago I got it going, I was f-mad I had no sound then I found it by accident. But thanks for looking out

                    This would explain why my SE harness isn't playing sound then...this deff needs a DIY thread...

                      just buy a standard plug adapter for the honda. It will work. dont go cutting up wires.

                      edit: If you have enough money to buy a deck, and a KIT you have enough money for a harness. Dont make your car looks like shit lol.

                      What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

                      You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

                        BOSE is good stuff, but their car audio is far from top notch. SPL stuff is where its at. I haven't seen anything BOSE is a competition. their audio sacrifices volume for quality. a good thing for most people but then it comes down to opinion.

                        This. no one should ever cut their factory wiring. It can turn a basic job into a headache and a half.
