ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    93' Accord LX Door Speakers?

I just bought a pioneer package, a head unit and for 6.5" speakers. I will begin installing this tomorrow. However i am new to installing speakers. I would like to know which would be the best way to install the door speakers. Should I/Can I remove just the cover from the stock speakers, or would i have to remove the whole door panel in order to install them? also, do you think i will need new speaker wire? the speakers are 50 watts a piece i believe.

    thanks for the help!

You have to remove the entire door panel.
    Stock wires are fine.

its absolutely a pain. In my friends CB7 he had oversized 6.5 inch JL components and we had to make a custom wood spacer for them in the door panels. rough.

I highly doubt this guy's gonna have the same problem with a pioneer package as one might with some JL's that are 10% better for 10x the price.

What's 50 watts per speaker? Unless you have an amp too, the speakers aren't gonna get 50 watts. Ever.

I had a problem putting in the rear speakers and the front ones. They were both 6.5s but for some reason the housing or whatever it is called was didn't want to fit. Front ones were some no name walmart speakers(cousins cb7) and rears were rockford fosgates(my cb7)

^ Seems not to be so uncommon. i got 6.5's in the rear when i bought my car. the guy i got my coupe from resolved this problem by hacking away the sheetmetal and installing new speakers next to the factory speakers. smh.
