ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Opening a window will only work if the rear seat is down. Cut a hole in the trunk!

And getting the same sound outside as you get inside means people outside will think the sound inside is way louder than it really is. So they'll think your 200 watt stereo is a 1200 watt stereo. Then steal it cause they think it's actually nice.

I got pulled over before in my dad's silverado years ago when I was maybe 16 or 17. He didn't have anything except for the stock component set up front. It wasn't anything related to bass but how loud the music was in general. They let e off with a warning. If they hadn't have been nice to me the result would've been $350 fine, spend the night in jail, have my dad's truck towed to the impound, and then you get to pay the wrecker fee and also the fee for having them store it. In the end it's just not worth it. I love loud music/bass but you're only doing yourself a favor keeping it to yourself. I can guarantee it will only cause the cops. neighbors, or whoever else to give you shit on a regular basis.

idk if youve already been answered but first what your going to need is a ported box and it HAS been proven over and over that facing your subs/port towards the rear will make it actually louder decible wise because sound is louder when it reverberates back to you plus your bassicly making the sound go all throughout the body of the car by making the air and vibrations hit the rear as for it being really loud outside the car that doesnt really happen to much unless you really intend to do that which you would wanna put a sub by a window or something but then it wouldnt sound as loud inside the car...... you want to make your system loud!!! inside the car as loud as you can get and then when you crack a window theyll hear you but its never gonna be as loud outside as its gonna be inside the car as far as i know anyway its either gonna be loud outside the car or inside up to u

            in the begining...

Sorta... it's true that pointing them backwards makes them louder, but every scientific aspect of why that is you got completely and 100% wrong.

So you need speakers in your grill to be heard at a distance? You need to get some real speakers and a real install.

While he's at it, a n00b<--->English translator would be nice. I do believe I can translate this one myself though

I know what you want. First get a ported box, and dynomat the trunk so it sounds better. Then get some real subs. Personally, I use audiopipe 12 inch red editions which claim 1800 watts each, so follow what I say, not what I do. Lastly, get better speakers like *unintelligible* is what i have. I also have a clarion eq with a kenwood radio and *unintelligible* for voice and my system shakes the block (of wood I set on my trunk lid) and i be heard from 2 blocks (of wood) away but thats from my speaker in the rear deck. There would be speakers in the rear deck, but I blew the first one up with my "an logic amp for voice".

                            1) what?
                            2) dynomate? is that like dinosaur porn?
                            3) define a "real sub" like a subway sub or a subwoofer which by definition if you can touch it, its real.
                            4) wtf is audiopipe? audiophile?
                            5) 1800 what? price? dollars? watts? LBs?
                            6) Celestion? last i checked they only make Show quality speakers, you know as in those huge black boxes on stage
                            7) radio shack?
                            8) you have speakers on the grill... what the fuck do you drive? a riot control interceptor, or an icecream truck? cus i can hear that bitch from a couple blocks away and let me tell you i run and tackle little shit kids to get mah ice creams.

                            /troll

                            OP:
you can have some dinky ass set-up, but if its done right it will be good. i have some shitty speakers in my front, OEM rears, a Crunch P1-5000.5 5-Channel Amp hooked up to an MTX Terminator 12" in my trunk, WITH NO HEAD UNIT! im running straight off the amp to RCA/3.5mm Jack line. it hits hard inside, cant hear the bass outside. The only real reason you would want to make the bass rape on the outside is if you are running show quality set-up. but the second someone hears you thumping down the block, kiss your shit bye bye.
as far as the dynamat... don't. take your car to a car audio shop and let the pro's deal with it, you can dynamat your car inside and out, it wont make it louder. it all depends on the car's physics, my audio guy told me that i can get my CB matted, but its just going to put a hole on my wallet.
IMO i LOVE hertz' stuff, for those of us that have low income, kicker ain't half bad, its all on what YOU like though, fuck what anyone else thinks, they don't pay your bills.
but sonik knows his shit when it comes to audio, try checking out the audio section of the forum, tons of help.

Dynomate xtreme...hardcore...nevermind that was going all the way downhill.

I just went to the audiopipe site. Their marketing is cute. They even stole HAT's tweeter style. I won't say that the products are complete crap but since they don't show any real specs, it's safe to assume that they are basic/entry level speakers.

Oh and for the OP, I bet the bass gets louder when you roll the window down too
