ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    bass travel question

i have a set of 10" MTX audio subs and ill have two amps running them. I had this system in my 92 CB and pulling up to places and what not ppl couldnt really hear the bass, but as soon as i poped the trunk just a little bit bass got louder.

How can i get the same bass sound from when my trunk is open a bit, to it being closed and having that sound(that you can hear from a distance)?

if you have DVC (dual voice coil) subs, wire them for 2 ohms, but be careful sometimes your amps and subs aren't ment to handle a 2 ohm load. a ported/slotted box will increase the loudness of the subs with less power going to them. you could also tune the amp.

    Turbo Setup: 100%

open the back seats up and get a ported box if you don't have one.

I want to do that but it'll get to be a big pain in th a**, due to the fact I have a two year old, and constatly putting it in and taking it out would drive me nuts. hahaha

That would be cancellation. Try adjusting the subs position in the trunk. Put it so that it faces the trunk lid.

I found it point outwards made the licence plate rattle, sound really bad, however pointing it inwards sound cleaner and lower, combine that with open rear windows should be able to be heard loud outside the car.

Know how to use an angle grinder? Cut a giant freaking hole in the trunk, that's the only way it'll sound the same open and closed...

And yah, license plate rattle! Such a hard problem to fix! I mean, you have to actually remove two whole screws and put dynamat/damplifier/etc on the back of the plate! Then you have to screw it back on. You might break a sweat!

Sound like a hardcore job, might take it to Honda dealership to get it done

Like i said i prefer it facing frontwards so no need to worry about it

That would be a bandpass box. You might want to try just using a regular ported box. If you have the money check the specs on your subs and either have a shop make you one or make a box yourself that has the ideal airspace for the particular subs you have. Not all subs are meant to be used in a bandpass box so that might be one problem.

Why do you want to attract attention to yourself?

If it sounds good inside the car, then leave well enough alone.

wont happen unless u run without a trunk. the cb7's seal in sound really well. honestly no one else wants to hear someone elses music, its annoying and a nuisance at night. if you want a car that doesnt seal in sound then get a small small truck and stick subs in the back seat or truck bed. in addition LADIES dont like loud music unless its in a club. <--- note the terminology. take a lady on a road trip and i GURANTEE she will not allow u to blast it the whole trip. nothing like having a trunk full of subs and no room for luggage and no use for the subs. ull find out one day my friend haha
