buyin a 600 watt amp aint gonna help jus cuz it matches subs. the subs are 600 watt max a piece MAX means they are only abt 300 watt rms gettin a 600 watt amp is only got to be pushing 250 to 300 watt rms a piece meaning 250 to 300 per speaker. it will only push max 600 watt on ONE speaker. its probably a grounding problem or a wiring problem or your amp is jus crapped out. I had this almost same problem with one of my amps and it was my RCA input was breaking lose from the motherboard inside the amp I replaced amp with another one b4 i found out that was the problem i still have the old amp and now use both my 550 Watt & my 460 Watt amp's on 2 rockford p1's in a non ported box and its hitting harder than ever and a cap is good to save on ur battery power unless u have a seperate battery for your amps to run off of. been into car audio for 6 yrs now.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I'm running a 300 watt rockford fosgate mono on 2 12's. I had a similar problem. my subs would hit for while and blow. I turned the gain down a nudge and turned off the base boost on the head unit. That fixed that. Then I had the issue where it hit as long as the car was running. I'd turn the car off leave the radio at about 25 and it cut out came back on repeatedly. I got the capacitor and that cleared it up for a little while. But its back. I haven't really had time to check the ground. I said all that just to say that the capacitor may or may not clear it up. Check your frequency, gain, and i think there is one more and the ground. I'd install the cap simply to protect the amp and the battery.

Most of these amp problems sound like the undervoltage protection kicking in.
