Unless l missed it he did not quite specify which exact model of each he had. Just curious how did you come up with these prices? I mean sonic sells a 500.1 for $199 and the subs are $150 so are you thinking of different subs/amps? the same subs and amps? I am just confused is all.

the subs are the 12w3v3 wich at retail are 259 my cost as a Jl dealer is more than 150. And the amp is the Jp audio 500/1 the slash series amps are pretty high end the were Jl audio's top end untill the new HD amps came out. Maybe I read it wrong but I thought those were the model numbers he listed. If that is he case the. It's a great deal but I could be remembering it wrong.

I was just going off of sonic's prices. Unless what I was looking at was different was what I was wondering. I looked at the ad though it does sound like a good system. I don't think you would be disappointed.

Lol. Even though I dont want to buy all that stuff at once .. I found someone who is selling 2 12" JL Audio 12w3v3 & Jl Audio 500/1 for 500 bucks(used of course..).. With a custom car tunes dual ported box Lol... they're about 8months old.. Lookign at the prices on that stuff new.. Sounds like a decent deal..? maybe? What do you all thikn

500 is pretty expensive IMO. If it was like 300 i'd say it's a good deal. With the carputer, well are you fluent in computer hardware and software?

I agree 300 would be a great deal, however if the stuff is in perfect condition someone would be stupid to let it go that cheap, those are all current model products you are definitly looking at the qrong amp seeing it for 199, I sell that package all te time in my store and have been for years with wires, taxes, and labor it usually rumba about 1500 out the door with a custom box if you look on the jl audio website the prices are well over 1000 at retail without the box. Yeah good deals are great but you also get what you pay for a 300 dollar sub set up IMO is not even worth the time to install in your car.

well Yea i'd like to think I am. I built a computer that I currenlty use as a webserver to host my websites .. But right now.. Im looking at the JVC KD-NX5000 found it for like 350.. But not sure yet..

I have to disagree. 300 bucks can get you a beast of a sub setup if you know what to look for. My first setup was an eclipse aluminum and a XA1000 which cost around 200. With a custom ported box it was loud enough to affect your breathing a bit. My box was pretty shitty though lol.

Once you figure out a little about the car audio game you'll see those duals are not in the win. One decent single 12 would far surpass there ability's in spl and sq. A good budget amp would be a MB Quart discuss of some sort- they get high praises in car audio forums, and are very reasonable, I own one, I know. first, figure you budget, then base your build around that. Also, I wouldn't sweet buying rear speakers, take the extra coin form not buying them and get yourself a good pair of front components. Just my 2 cents. check out my mrt, I just finished building my system, I did ALOT of research in car audio forums and now the vets over there give me thumbs up for my build- knowledge is power

Pro tip:

I got my sub/amp +wiring and install for $400 from American. The trick to doing this is to go for the demo model. My Alpine Type R and Infinity Monoblock amp sound just as good as if I bought it brand new. In otherwords, look for floor models and ask to buy those at a discount. This was 3 years ago and nothing has failed on me yet
