Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    Dual is junk.

    MB is acceptable.

Those subs will definitely handle 1200 watts RMS JK I have heard them in person and they are really not very good. They did produce some pretty clean bass in the car that I heard them in, but their trunk was open and it was by far no where near loud at all. You can get a lot better for the same amount of money.

Yeah dude, honestly that is their primary selling point is that people look at them and think ooh cool import tuner tokyo drift stuff Also from what I have heard those bandpass boxes don't hold up very well. I had a friend who upgraded the subs and his amp with one of those and they blew the plexi apart. If you are looking for some good websites, I would suggest checking out sonicelctronix http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ for good deals or if you want good quality products with really good customer service check out crutchfield http://www.crutchfield.com/S-cXhM7EOyINH/

          Hope that helps

you can get better and louder sound from one good woofer. i have heard those many times i do sell them in my shop, because the mark up is good and they hit a price point but the arent anything quality at all. for something cheap entry level rockford isnt bad they also have a ported box with two 12s for around 250 and it actually beats. pesonaly id go with a single jl audio w3 though thats what i have in two of my cars sounds great and also around 250.00

Ehh its ok depending on what it all is. Do you know how many ohms the subs are? The cheapest is a single 8 ohm for $150 and the highest is $175 for a single 4 ohm. And depending on the amp model it could be either $200 or $400. I am leaning towards it probably being the $200. Soooo 150 +150 + 200 = 500. So give or take tax you are basically paying for it new. I am always a bit wary of buying used stuff unless it is from a friend. So I personally would just buy new. I got all of this pricing stuff off of sonicelectronix. Here are the links for the subs and amps.

It sounds pretty good. I think you could probably get more for the same amount of money or the same thing for less if you looked at other brands, but if your liking it and it sounds good I would say go for it. JL is a kick ass brand, they are just a little pricey for me (poor college student ) Not to sure about the carputer deal. I just stick to basic headunits because I don't like any more bells and whistles that don't have to deal with the audio aspect of it. A bit beyond my expertise I would say

Hmm well I guess it depends on how much bass you want and how much you are willing to spend. If I was starting out looking for a beginner setup I would start with a good Alpine HU. You basically start you system from the HU, so I would not cheap out there. From my experience I would say go for alpine because they have proven quality and reliability. Then I would either get like a 500 watt Rockford Fosgate Prime or Infinity amplifier. And for subs I would just shop around and look for something that has good reviews. Kenwood, Kicker, MTX, Polk, Alpine, and Rockford Fosgate are good places to look. I posted some links to sonicelectronix earlier. So far they have proven to be the most affordable web site that I have found and their products have a lot of reviews. I would start there and maybe check out crutchfield.com also. Hopefully this helps dude. I can post some links up to stuff if you want. Just remember you can get 10's or maybe a single 15 or a really good single 12.

not quite accurate prices the jl 500/1 is 599.95 new and the subs are 259.95 each so that over 1000.0 new then a custome box from a shop any installer worth anything is going to charge at least 300.00 to build a ported box unless its a side job i am a jl dealer and 500.00 for all that is a lot less than what my store pays for that stuff. if you dont buy it send me a link to the add i will.

Unless l missed it he did not quite specify which exact model of each he had. Just curious how did you come up with these prices? I mean sonic sells a 500.1 for $199 and the subs are $150 so are you thinking of different subs/amps? the same subs and amps? I am just confused is all.
