Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    updating audio

    so i have a used dehp4500mp pioneer stereo, that im putting in the cb. it has an ip bus port, which i want to use for music playback through my droid, since im too cheap to buy an mp3 player. heres the issue. i know that i can simplify this whole process by using a 3.5mm jack to rca which will run to the ip bus cable. i am ok with that. i would prefer to be ecstatic with not having to run my car charger to the phone when i went through the trouble of running the ip bus cable around the gear shift and drilling a hole in the slot beside the ebrake.
    i would like to find someway to either run the ip bus to micro usb (which i dont think is possible but correct me if im wrong) or run another power source to the same slot. i could shorten this by saying i want to eliminate any visible wires. i am willing to entertain other options, i just want things to stay as hidden as possible. oh im also aware that i could always buy an ipod and run an rca to ipod connecter instead. id rather not entertain that idea just yet

    i have found this product which might work, cd-ub100 from pioneer. if anyone has any insight as to whether or not this will charge my phone as well please let me know. it seems like this product would just access the sd card, which is not really my intent. i would like to be able to stream pandora to the stereo, as well as listen to the music i have on it. i know that i can accomplish that using 3.5mm, so its looking more like having a separate power source is going to be the optimal option. if anyone has any info on how i would accomplish that it would be much appreciated

      you are correct there is no ip to usb adapter, a newer deck would have usb built in but thats a lot of expense, you can allways take a car charger for your phone and hardwire it into the car and just run the end out where you have the 3.5 located.
