ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Well, kicker is out of the question from what i have read on other forums. Im hearing that there stuff gets loud, but its mad sloppy. I need decent sq as well as a little spl. I understand that you cant really have both unless you wanna blow $450 on like an id max or something comparable. What do you guys think about me getting an IDQ12v3, and putting it in a 1.8-2.0 cube box (slot port) tuned to 30~35 hz. My budget is around $250 for the sub, has to be either single 4 ohm or twin 2 ohm I have 500watts rms from a mb quart amp to screw with for my substge. The type r 12 is alot cheaper than the idq, but will it sound good? Also, I need the sub to match my front stage, a pair of Id 6.5" components that will be fed 100 watts rms.

the type r is a decent sub as long as u dont pay retail for it. dont put it in a prefab box either. i had mine in 3 different ported boxes and i liked the smaller of the ported boxes cuz it had plently of tone and depth not to mention it took 900 rms with no stinky for a while.

the memphis subs you can order them in that config and wit that power u will be very please if everything is set right. its a very musical sub! Hertz hi energy is a another sub i have gotten a bit of time with and my wife loves hers. that shit is stupid loud.
