ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Well what were you looking for out of your subs?
Kicker makes great amps I have a 500 watt and it pounds pretty good. 10 in subwoofers produce quick, tighter bass so if you listen to a lot of rock or alternative those will be pretty good. If you are looking for rattle your brains out bass and listen to rap you probably should have kept the 15's. The only way you got ripped off is if you didn't know what you were getting.

I just did a little google-ing because I am not too familiar with those exact subs. There are tons of reviews for the 5500 series saying they are pretty good. The 7500 is newer and has a higher wattage rating (400 compared to 300) but I don't think you would find that much of a difference. Every sub is different and it all depends on how you set it up. My buddy has 10's and I have 12's (not a super good comparison because it is rockford 10 vs. kenwood 12 but it works). Mine are louder but his sound a lot cleaner. If I had to choose again I would probably go with 10's. Sorry if this is dragging on a bit here but overall I think you will be pretty happy with these. Plus kicker amps kick ass!

Well this is a little interesting. I may be mistaken here and just reading things wrong but I am assuming that b16hatchie and cb7sleeper were referring to me as the new member whoring. I made a quick post saying that I was only trying to help but it was deleted and I am assuming that was just considered post whoring as well. So far I have made no posts at all in an attempt to quickly get to 30 posts. While I would like to get there eventually I am in no hurry. I know this post is completely unrelated to the thread but I just felt like this was a little rude seeing as how I took a good 20 minutes last night researching those MTX subs only for people to say it is BS. I am in no way an expert on car audio but I was only trying to offer my opinion.
Edit:
Looking back I can see how two posts in 15 minutes may seem like a bit much. I could have just gone back and edited the first post. I apologize for getting a little pissed. I just felt it was a little unnecessary to say I was post whoring when I was just trying to help a fellow cb owner out. I am new here and I am just here to learn and have fun. I look forward to many more constructive discussions with everyone. Have a good night or morning what ever your time zone may be.Last edited by RUGER 2.2L; 01-23-2010, 04:36 AM.

Oh and MTX 10's FTW!

Sorry for over analyzing things a bit. I just saw you guys were talking about new members post whoring right after I posted and I only had like 5 posts so i just put 2 and 2 together. I have seen your MR thread a while before this though, pretty sweet set of wheels you got there keep up the good work!
