Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Alot of people base alot of quality of woofers just by mere power, size, and other lil features of the sub it self. In true nature its how u use it.The proper box will really determine alot on the sound and quality.
For example
I had a bandbox for my twin kicker comps, id max out my amp seeing how far i could push them. Till recently i made a new box aimed at high spl. The new box completely surpassed the band pass box, she hits harder and louder and i haven't even maxed out my amp to pass my old box.
Pioneer has been around for ages, there lower end products are what they are lower end so people can afford them, can that be said for there higher end when no one has tryed them? I like pioneers receivers, if they can instill quality in receivers, and speakers then why not woofers.

I haven't used alot of Pioneer's products but the few I have used worked great. Hell I have one of their home stereo receivers that my parents bought when they got married over 30 years ago and it's still going strong lol. It's been pushing 2 12's, 2 15's about 8 tweeters, and 4 6.5's at full blast for a while now and I have no complaints.

I've got a full Pioneer sound system, i'd swear by it
Four 6" 3ways
Headunit
Monoblock Amp
Champion Series 12" Sub
I have mates with sound systems of all kinds, cheap, expensive.. You name it
Mine keeps up with the best of them, and i listen to heavy metal.. Nothing is more taxing on your speakers/subs maximum potential than doublekick.
anywho. the Pioneer stuff that walmart sells isnt all that good. tho they do have decent 6.5s. but the bass output for them isnt all that good.
ive only ever liked the higher end Pioneer stuff, everything else is crap imo.

before i found that there is ore fun in tuning i was all bout sound systems(still am kinda) i have won many comp with my builds. have used just bout every brand you can think of. and i bump any thing from pendulum to 50 cent to dethklok to caspa & rusko. so my systems have to be able to bump like hell but still be clear as day. it really depends on what you want from your system. and how loud your prefence is.
lately i have started using quantum audio subs(2x10in). there high power out put and stable at 1ohm which if you want massive sound would be good idea to be 1 ohm stable. not to metion depending on how you set your control on you deck they can make your ears bleed with power of a dubstep blass line. but then w/a quick adj they hit every single note w/clairity when pounding out deth metal dbl pedal.
same goes with your amp. going with something stable at 1 ohm will offer a bit more flexiblity. again i am using a q.a. amp. being 1 ohm dosnt mean you have to run your system at 1 ohm though. something that helps clear things up is running power/ground wires away from the others. and not running your speakers off your deck will help as well.
for you mids and highs running 1 ohm amp isnt needed here. just use a good stong amp that has a good cooling ability. maily cuz you always using this amp. buy a 4chan amp for these speakers. then hook up each speaker to a chan. running your tweets w/your fronts(not connected to amp but to speaker its self). your choice here is a little more limited. eclipse, lighting audio(using for my mid high) or blaupunk or menphis audio would prob be best.
running proper wire sizes is also key. and get a power cap. it will save your batts life and will help sound quality too. and prob get rid of the lights dimming when it hits. so yeah hope that helps a bit.
if your wondering what i have its 2 q.a. 1500w 10in 1ohm stable subs 1 2500w q.a. 2 chan 1 ohm stable amp menphis audio mid highs tweets and a lightning audio 300w 4 chan powering the mid/high. its in my sunfire gt convert. i dont have anything in my cb7 but my dash and seat but last sound comp it pushed 165 decibles. but its power is turned down for daily use to bout 140 db. so yeah good hunting

it does all depend on quality and the type of music you listen to. and it depends on what your trying to do with the car? do you just want to have a nice sound or do you want to blow the doors off your car? cuz if thats what you want pioneer does make good subs that sound real clear and can give you the bass you want. but alpine and also planet audio have good bass and good sound

Well superman the fact is the cars that do 165 have about 20 batts 8 amps walls 2 18's of yeah the small amount of concrete that's poured into the vehicles. I worked for a guy that's holdin a couple of records. So yes you have failed an epic fail on your part till you provide proof. Also if your in the area I'll be more the happy to get the termlab out to back my statements up.
