ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

You'd probably have to take the bumper off. I don't know of any drill bits or keyhole saws big enough, so you'd have to use a saw to get a hole that big. You could probably use marine speakers, since they're used for boat applications. And I don't see why it would be illegal??

so you're making the first ever CB7 ice cream truck? noiiiiiice, brah.

i'd be worried about someone wanting to steal the speaker. you know, with it hanging out in the open like that.
        My pictures/photos will return soon...

You could use marine speakers, and get plastic baffles that are made for the speaker to fit into. That way they are protected on the backside from the elements. Remember that marine speakers are always, or should be, mounted in locations where only the front side would get wet. The backside is not made to be subjected to water directly. Just coated to handle humidity pretty much. If you damage your speaker, you could end up damaging whatever amp or headunit is powering it too.

That or you can put one inside the hood.

Make sure it's a marine speaker or a bullhorn type, and hook up a switch to it!

You will hardly get any bass from that.

just cause its a marine speaker doesnt mean its going to be waterproof. you still have to make sure your wires coming from your headunit are sealed.

Not street legal, I think its a noise violation but I'm not sure.

Your best bet is to use a horn type speaker.

                          There fixed it.

OP, you should check your local laws about doing it. Cutting and drilling holes in your bumper could be seen as weakening your bumper and be an equipment violation. I've seen people get tickets for much less, such as cutting a hole in their bumper for a CAI...
