best woofer ???

i been out the sterio system for a couple year now. back in my days i had jlw3or solo beric woffer with soundstream and ppi amp now i know jl have w7 and kicker have l7 but they price wise are crazy. so what else woofer are out there i like loud deep bass. for a good price. i will be runing a jl mono 500x1 so what woofer should i buy.

Digital design has some nice subs that have a 8" sub at this shop out here that hits about as hard as my 12" L7. I'm looking into getting a 15" DD when I get my next car.

everyone has different opinions it just depends on what your into really what type of music you listen to.... i like JL audio myself...you could even try to find some spl 15 inch competition subs they are pretty amazing...

yea ive had alot of subs and JL has been the best for me...but its too expensive now for quality...its pointless to dump money into a system that has a chance of getting stolen...

I'm not getting rid of the L7 but my unlcle gets hook ups on all his audio stuff which is how I get mine. Unless u have a runing DA.

I'm a big fan of Elemental Designs... good sound quality and they can get pretty loud too . I don't think they get as loud as a W7, but they are a hell of a lot cheaper too. Here's an excursion video for their middle series woofer (15") http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPKvnWE3xOI . That sub only costs $225 direct from ED (elementaldesigns.com). I have only owned their entry level series but was thrilled with the quality and performance the sub delivered. Especially compared to other subwoofers in the same price range, or even at twice or triple the price.

whats your budget? everyone complains about how expensive JL is but ive found some pretty good deals. my buddy is selling his 13w7 and 1000/1 for just $500. buy the set up and sell the amp for $500....and guess what? free 13w7. i'll find a link to his post on CL. oh yeah....he's desperate....needs money bad....you might be able to lowball him with cash.

Then get you a Rockford Fosgate 500watt Mono amp. Another $250 (my brothers price)

and next buy a quality 4 guage wiring kit and BOOOOOM Your quadin!!!!

Atleast this is what im doing!! I just sold my 2 Audio Pipe 12's and the 1500watt 2ch Audio Pipe amp...

Looking for a lil better SQ out of my next set-up!!!
