ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

What are you doing that you want more amps from your alternator? If it's sub/amp then just get a stiffening capacitor and save yourself the hassle of getting the alt in and out.

To answer your question though, I'm not rightly sure. Head to the junkyard and compare plugs and pulley sizes. If they are the same then go for it.

A capacitor will do absolutely nothing useful unless a high output alternator is present and even then the results are negligible.

If you're going to be installing a large stereo system you'll want a high output alternator. I would pick one up if you're planning to run more than around 60a. This number is my personal preference. Our stock alt. is 80a and is built to output enough power for the car and the electronics that come with it from the factory.

There are two alternators that'll fit our car that output 95a, which cars they are meant for someone else will have to chime in on.

all you have to do is swap the pulleys from your accord to the new prelude one, otherwise the belt will shred since the accord only has 5 ribs and the prelude has 6.

The autozone one will do fine if you're looking for a reman'd one. its made in Malaysia, not in Mexico like the accord ones are. So its of higher quality.

i just let the autozone people do it, They had an electric impact that took it off. Took him awhile but at least I didn't have to do it. I actually put my alternator on in the autozone parking lot at like 4 in the morning. It was the only 24 hr store in the state lol.

ill chime in since im sort of audio savy. but a quick tip is that with the proper electrical wiring and a strong starting battery you could push 1000 with no problem all day.

for our cars, and the legend scottie johnson told me that a d3400 up front with the proper electrical ie. all 1/0 gauge good wiring (Knu/Stinger/Kicker/Shock) will be suffice for 2000 watts.

If you are wanting an aftermarket high out put alternator, DO NOT waste your money on Load Boss. They're garbage
