ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Originally posted by Sarthos View PostSure ya gotta pay to play, but there's a point where it's just stupid. If you can spend 300 bucks every five years on a sub that'll sound about the same, or 1000 bucks every ten years on JL subs, which would be better?
And as any car audio site will tell you, INSTALL INSTALL INSTALL. The sub itself isn't as important as the install, and even a Sony Xplod can beat JL if the install is right.
As for comparing a Sony subs to JL subs, you're just being nonsense right now...lol. Yes, I agree cheap subs can be made to sound nice in the right enclosure. Like most people say, its about 80% install and 20% equipment that makes a system. But installs have too many factors to compare. Right now we are comparing product for product, and so my friend, " A sony XPLOD will NEVER be on the same level as a W7."

please stop giving bad audio advice ...
Ive been dealing with JL products for about 15 years now and in my personal opinion they are a great line of products with a great company that stands behind it. I had the pleasure of touring the JL plant in miramar fl. when I was an installer for an authorized dealer, and the craftsmanship is just amazing... everything was hand built ... I know today the lower end subs (w0s i believe ) are made overseas but all there w3's and up are still hand built here in fl. You have to respect a company that can still mass produce a product with quality this day by hand still... With that I think for what your getting the price is exactly were it should be...
BTW i own 4 10w3v1 (2 installed in my car) and 2 10w3v2 that are going in the wifes car... today i have owned or listened to pretty much every JL sub produced in the last 15 years in many different enclosure's (from sealed, ported, band pass and even isobaric) as well as countless others from cheep LA sounds to high end Kicker, eclipse, hifonics, ppi and many more ...
The only subs out there right now that I would rather buy over a W7 if it comes to price, would be the Elemental Designs 13av. Its very similar to a w7 but is very affordable, plus great customer service.
On the other hand, there's RE XXX, Fi BL, DD, etc. but for their prices, I can get w7's for much much cheaper."PREPARE for the WORSE, Hope for the BEST" B.T.N.H.

"Amen brother" but in my opinion, xplods arent even in the same class as the W7 line up....i would rather compare the xplods to the w0....maybe the w3 at best.
