Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

only very few audioshops do remote start on manuals. VERY few. usually some recomend you get the safety module.
I been installing for 5+ years and i have done them on manuals, its nothting much differnt but its not safe. i take no responsibility though. If your not used to wiring get it done at a reputable place. I seen people think they know how to do alarms, but when you look at their job its shit crap. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

any audio shop that carries viper should atleast know how to do it, all the new vipers alarm in the programing menu can either do manual or auto remote start and that why the new viper remote starts have a plug in 'neutral' safety switch" that has to be plugged in before it will even remote start. Unlike the old vipers like the 791xv that you could just ground the neutral safety wire.

not all the new vipers have the remote start on manual feature, including the viper 5002. it was the one with the oem looking remote. honestly i dont like the viper 5002....too many issues, i have the same alarm but the python version that uses a differnt type of reciever and never had an issue. i seen at least 7/10 vipers come back to me.
and the old 791 had that black white wire that you ground, ur actually supposed to put it on the supplied switch, same thing as the new one. you just got confused with the newer style that is SAFE for remote start. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

It is illegal for an alarm shop to install a remote start on a manual car and they will loose whatever installing license they have if get caught; besides is really unsafe and dangerous to have them; some installers just bypass the manuals and tell you to make sure leave car in neutral all the time even if park on a hill; lots of drivers forget that and start car which can move and kill people.
Not a good thing to do, get another alarm without remote starter or just do not install that feature.

Well i have a 5spd manual EX and i have the remote start...but ever since i started driving manual..i've always left it on Neutral..maybe i learned the wrong way..but when i installed the Remote Start..i didn't have to change my ways..=]..unsafe?..only if you leave it in gear(which i never do)...so it's all good..but i paid $120 i think for the instalation..and you might think you'll never use it or it's only show..but it does come to play in the morning when it's cold as hell and you don't wanna go out to turn your car and warm it up..i just do it from the comfort of my room..=]..so when im ready to leave the house..car's already warmed up....but yeah..around $120 here in LA..price depends on where you are i guess.

Thanks alot fellas
All of my friends with CB's have 5SPD trannys and they all have remote starters. I'm pretty damn sure its not Illegal, not in New Jersey anyway. From all of the reading Ive done today and all of the advice everyone has given me. If installation is under $200 I'll most likely get them to deal with it. If they mess anything up I can always bring it back to them where as if I messed it up,.....I'm Royally BONED lol
I breathe down shit so hard, you could see sound.

Very interesting, do you know which brands of new cars offer that option?
Do you have any website links where they sell alarms and are specific for manual cars and there is no need to leave car in neutral.
I have remote star alarms in all my cars for the last 20 years and when had a manual 3 shops refuse to do it telling me so many accidents for drivers forgetting to leave cars in neutral and were so afraid to get in trouble if doing it.

The viper website doesn't give any information of how it works on the manual.
The ebay ones and on what I understood is that they will only work if car is in neutral and if you leave it in gear won't work and if you use the remote start and engine is running and you or someone open the doors engine will shut down to avoid you from putting it in gear which I think it means that before you get in the car you will have to turn off engine.
Someone correct me if I am wrong and manual car can be leave on gear and still use the remote start.
