ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Nope, just get a distribution block. Get one that has fuses at the block, just to be safe

You must have a ring terminal on your zero gauge.

He necessarily wouldn't need to have a ring terminal on his power wire. Get a distribution block that accepts a 0 gauge power wire, and has multiple outputs. You can put it near where ever you have you have your amps

also make sure your amp has a pass through or oyu have another set of RCAs to run to that second amp

Damn, 0 gauge? I don't even think that's necessary. Anyway, yeah a distribution block and another set of RCA's. Of course power, ground, speaker, and remote wires are necessary as well.

I meant on the amp side...not too many amps accept 0 gauge. But like everybody else said, get a fused distribution block.

Edit: I was asking not saying.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the other set of rca's. If you have a head unit with 2 sets of preouts, and a set for a sub channel, just get a 4 channel set of rca cables. As for the remote wire, you can just split the main remote wire, hook it to the main amp, then from that amp, hook another piece of remote wire to the other amp. That's what I'm doing, have no issues. Try to use the same ground, and try to make the ground wires less than 3 feet long

You can also get a non-fused distribution block for the grounds so that it makes it easier to ground them in the same spot.
I don't own the CB7, but I'm down to learn anything and everything to help my brother out.

Ok my amp has a output rcas which in connecting to my other amp, but my stereo only has one set of rca outputs, so I want to know if just connecting 2 rcas to the 4 channel amp will allow me to amplify all four speakers? And what the hell is the difference between 4 ohms and 2ohms? Thanks.

In dummy terms, ohms are a rating of resistance. the less ohms there are, the less resistance there is. Which basically means, if there is less resistance from a speaker, the amp will be able to generate more power. For example at 4ohms an amp may dish out 400 watts, but at 2ohms it could do 650. it can produce more because there is less resistance.

^^ thats what I needed to know! lol thanks, ok so I both amps in, and I disconnected the wires from the stereo and just put the wires from the amp. Now I tried connecting both to the speaker and unamplified didn't work so I guessing I should not do that?

If you don't have one already, you should pickup a rewired alternator. Go for around 200Amps you might need it to handle the extra current load.
