ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

93 accord se bose system question

I have a 93 accord SE and my back Bose 6x9's have gone out. I know Bose has funky Ohm ratings, so what kind of speakers can I put in the back? I want some that had a good bass output like those Bose. Can I put anything in the back with the same ohm rating? Or am I stuck with Bose speakers in the back?

If I can put any speakers in the back, please recommend some cheap, but really nice sounding speakers. Decent bass, etc.

I don't want some subs, just some shit I can listen to with my CYPRESS HILL TAPE! AND ya, I said TAPE!

haha, any help would be great.

And anyways Bose aint all that, i heard some speakers that they sound even better than Bose.

bose really isnt all that. pull the speakers and on the back of them (actually you should be able to see it from inside the trunK) and read the ohm rating. Most car audio is 4 ohms. If you dont wanna spend alot but still want descent sound just buy a cheap set of pioneers. If you wanna spend a little get some Alpines (thats what i run in my BMW) If it isnt 4 ohms and you dont know what to do i'd go buy a cheap cd player (or go to a pawn shop) and then buy a some cheap speakerss. Whatever you wanna do but you do have options.

I still have all of the original bose amps and speakers in the car.

The back speakers are the only one that are blown out.

So I can put in any type of speakers ( considering ohm ratings) in the back, even with the Bose amp?

I rather not change out the deck, I just want to change my speakers. I already have a decent ipod fm transmitter.

its just simple electronics. Its not like the amp will crap on it self if incorrect speakers are used. Its not a computer, you dont need a "Special driver" if you buy a 3 dollar set of head phones for you cd player or you have a 300 dollar pair, they still work. Its pretty much the same principal, as long as the ohm's match up and your not pushing 300 watts to 20 watt speakers your fine. hope this has helped. i'm no professional audio guru guy, but i have been playing with stereos in cars and homes since i was seven years old, and i'm 22 now so... i know enough to not fry my shit. Good luck.

Haha, ya I know it's simple electronics, but I just wanted to be sure. I've read many different comments and opinions on many websites, so I rather be safe than sorry.

Thanks for all of the help guys, this has really helped me.
