Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    very noob question about speakers..

    is 3-way speakers always better than 2-way ones?
    example: kenwood's 3-way compared to pioneer's 2-way which one is better?

      i recently tried some 4 ways, worst speakers ive heard. they were rated at 75rms and my 35 watt pioneers sounded better.

      2 ways is all you need.

        Spot on. More does not necessarily mean better.
        More speakers to manufacture means they have to be made to a price. A $500 4 way would use cheaper drivers than a $500 2 way as there would be more to manufacture.

        I wouldn't even bother with 3 way also!

        Best thing I'd do is research the best performing 2 way / splits / components your money can buy you.

            as said, a three way is pointless. Unless it's with your mom and sister

            seriously though, two way is the way to go. Plus, the pioneers are gonna be a better speaker anyway. Kenwood is crap, not very durable at all.

              2 way is defitely the way to go if the tweeter is a dome type.

                  i would just save up and get a better set up speakers, Those pioneer will sound better then factory speakers yes, but when you crank up the volume they wil break up easily, but none the less whatever route you go with i hope your satisfied.

                    Having a small cam is like having a small dick every time you go to use it you wish it was bigger.

                      I seriously doubt you will hear much difference between a 2 way, Woofer and tweeter, or a 3 way, woofer tweeter and midrange, unless you get into some serious speakers.

                      Most of the time if you have the 3 way set up I think you loose more in bass then you gain from adding the other tiny speaker in front of the woofers cone.
