ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Have you tried searching "6x9" in the beginner audio section first?

if you want quality speakers...I recommend Clarion. Their lineup is very very nice and have great detail and bass.

even their cheapest speakers have a good reputation.

I bought alot of differant brands trying to get a good 6x9 that holds alot of power and found Polk audio was the best in the range of 100-200dollars. I bought them at circuit city for about 175. It depends how much money you want to spend. Infinity makes good speaker but they dont hold alot of power. Alpine

Never buy speakers at retail stores.

I bought 2 pairs of Alpine Type-S speakers online for less than 1 pair would have cost in a retail store.

I blow speakers all the time so it pays to get the extended warranity. Its to much of a hassle to replace speakers online. Some things I would buy online, speakers no. I have a pair of Alpine type S and I hate them.

i've been satisfied with infinity as previously mentioned, for the money they have great construction quality.
in my benz right now i have amplified polk db's (i ball on a budget), and those are good too.
both decent speakers for a decent price, but of course, you can do better depending on your budget!

want expensive? MB Quart is the way to go if you want to bleed ears.

if you go infinity, go for kappa series. reference isn't great. the kappas are still affordable - ebay and get em around 100+ new

OH THE INFINITY PERFECTS! some modification required because of the large depth.

yes! i had the perfects in my legend, 6x9's in the rear (had to cut away some of the deck, those effers were large). i wasted them because i ran them off a clarion head unit with no amp, but man did they sound good.
                          i miss my legend...

edit: this was the infinty sub i had in there too
