ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    little help with my system

ok well i bought my cb7 accord off some kid. lol. ik. but anyways he had a sound system professionally installed and this is the set up. pioneer head unit.all inside speakers are infinity huge sub box in the trunk with 2 twelve inch infinity sub with voice coils. mounted on the back of the back seat are 2 jbl thousand watt amps.. one is for sub and other for speakers. but im sure ya'll knew that. and a compassidor i forgot the make. but the problem is ive been driving with the car for about 2 months now and the subs have sounded great. well tonight i went down to do some minor adjusments to the bas through the head unit and i noticed there was no bass.. i opened my trunk and no bass at all.. any ideas of what it could be?... cause i do not believe i blew the subs because i havent blared the music yet mainly cause the girlfriend doesnt like it lol..

sorry for such a long story

    but thnxs for the help

infinity sub with voice coils!!! you dont say, lol.

Sounds like you got a sweet set-up, hard to tell you exactly what is wrong though dude. There are a few things that are easy to check.

first of all, does the amps turn on

are your RCAs sending a signal. what i do is i have a wire thats headphone jack to RCA so i plug my ipod into my amp and if you hear it then your RCAs need to be replaced (do this while the car is on ofcourse)

Also, its happened to me once that the wires had gotten loose inside the box, the ones connected to teh sub itself. If they arent tightened enough, teh bass will loosen the connections.

yea x2 dudes rite check all ur connections n make sure everything is intact...try regulatin ur bass again but turn ur bass down and slowly regulate it to ur pleasure also that amp mite not be able to support those 12 if they got to much wattage...but yea 1st step u got to chek ur amp if it turns on

you stated that you made adjustments in the deck and then the bass turned off????

check to see if you turned of the sub channel by accident ....

Ok first of all, if it was professionally installed the connections WILL NOT come loose. I installed at a shop for 2 years and was MECP silver certified as ALL installers have to be.

You made adjustments through your deck? Back them up to where they were before and see if that changes it. The next thing you need to do is scroll through your menu on your deck and see if you have a sub volume control. If so make sure its turned up and not on zero. If that's fine then its on to more indepth troubleshooting.

Even though your amps are turned on does NOT mean they're working correctly. They may be in safe mode because you adjusted settings to high sending a signal to the amp that its overpowering it and the amp will not be able to handle it.

Check those few things first and see how you end up.

ok, well on my oppinion its not the remote wire cause he said that the amps are on. so i would say that go to your headunit and when you click to select the audio set up go to sub-w im really sure that by accident you turn the subwoofer off. check on it buddy, its a simple problem. if not give me your radio model number and i check on it.

pioneer headunits are easy to accidentally turn off the sub. If the amp is on and your subs don't work, then a speaker wire is disconnected, or the amp is getting no audio signal.
