ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Antenna install

I just purchased a new honda antenna off ebay and was wondering what tool to use to tighten the top nut, when i took the stocker off a year ago i just took a vice grip too it to loosen it but this being a new mint one , i dont wanna scratch the shit out of it. then i installed a POS hirschmann aftermarket one that i was told would work just as well instead of paying the bucks to get an oem one. is there a too i can prchase for this specific nut, or how do i go about it?

    Thanks

Ummmmmm I don't know of a tool to use for it really. What I did was use a small pair or needle nose pliers, there's some that are curved on the end that seemed to be easier to do it with that you can get for cheap. You'll want to get a thin rag or microfiber cloth or something put over it to keep from scratching it and the paint on your car and just be patient and go slow. It'll tighten eventually but you just need to patient with it or you'll have scratches and plier marks on your car. Just be gentle man. Maybe someone else knows a better way but that seemed to work fine for me. How much did the oem one run you anyways?

Yeah I have 2 motors that work but I need the mast. I need to sell one of these motors for the price of a mst lol. But that won't happen. I doubt anyone would pay anything for one of them.

for you, you should see two drain tubes becoming one.

as for the antenna you can get a power antenna at pick a part at chillwack for $20.

Thanks to Ronald for the great picture.

Yeah I went to my local junkyard and paid $10 for one. My dumbass never knew EXACTLY what the stock one looked like because when I got the car it was already broken. I bought it and brought it home and it wouldn't go down. The one I bought had also been broken but made to where it would work but wouldn't move up and down. I just need to find an s2k and take the one off of it.

                    Honda OEM antenna nut wrench:
                    T/N#: 07JAA-001000D
It costs $10-11 and is made for Honda by tool maker SPX/KentMoore.

I decided to finally buy one myself. Fits 4th ad 5th gen 2 door/4 door. (Wagons have a different mast and nut).

                    Example of use:
