ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It all depends on what type of bass you want. 10's are better for if you listen to rock, alternative ect. 12' or bigger are for your beat down, 12's can pick up lower bass notes as 10's wont. But like I said it's all into what music you listen to. I listen to a little bit of everything so that why I love 12's. I mean dont get me wrong Im not dissin 10's at all...they just dont do it for me personally.R.I.P Rex 10/10/97-08/06/09

And again, look into a Powered Bazooka tube. You won't rattle the neighborhood, but it's good bass and they weigh less than thirty pounds, amp, sub and enclosure.

Sometimes someone forgets that a new person on the site might not realize how the intentional improper use of English or just being lazy, (i.e. all caps, no punctuation, "dis" "dat" "potna" "boi") can make a post difficult and tedious to read. especially when it's obviously taken them extra effort to misspell 75% of their post so they can sound "street" or "ghetto". It's also embarrasing for the "e-thug" when they go to a meet or post their own pic and they're a 95 lb white kid with inch thick glasses that hasn't been anywhere tougher than Walmart. I'm not saying that's you, I'm just saying it happens.

*edit* personally, I threw my huge box and my amps in the back, and I'm working on HP increases to counteract the weight. If it becomes that big of an issue, I'll yank the box before I race. - It should be worth about 2 tenthsLast edited by visualpoet; 10-09-2008, 10:14 AM.

It really depends on what kind of music you listen to
I had my heart set on some 6x9s I bought but they don't fit. So I got a single 12 in a little ported box. Yea, it's a little heavy (maybe 40# with the amp) but it works great and doesn't overpower my music at all. I listen to all kinds of music and it helps for almost everything.
I had a good set of 6x9s dedicated to bass on my first CB though and that was a great setup. I might go back to that one day.
