ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    how do you bridge?

ok well i am buying a pair of speakers (well already bought) but i wanna buy an amp and bridge it to 2 ohms which the speakers and amp are capable of but how do i go about doing it?

Brandoncb7 - I don't mean to come across like an ass but I see why you irritate Aaron now.

im assuming its a 2 channel amp and that you have 4 ohm svc speakers

you take the positive of speaker one and the positive of speaker 2 and run them both to the positive side of channel 1 on your amp

then you take the negative of speaker one and the negative of speaker 2 and run them both to the negative of channel 2 on your amp

Unless he sent a good amount of money on the amplifier and wont be 2 ohm stable when bridged if its a two channel.

If he meant to ask how to wire subwoofers in parallel
If you have a mono block amp and it has two terminal on it then just put both positives and both negative on the corresponding terminals. If it has four terminals on the mono block, then they are common internally. So you can wire it like the last example or as labeled on amp.

MTX is a very good amp! especially that one you want!! Nice Choice!!!

I would go a different path!I would get something like this!

                      http://cgi.ebay.com/Rockford-Fosgate...d=p3286.c0.m14

and get a 4ohm speaker....thats just me....I like the deep deep bass that Old School Rockford Punch amps put out

i have 2 mtx 4 ohm single speakers coming. i already paid for them.

i dont really like the look of that amp. i am trying to keep the amp and speakers the same for the sake of me being picky like that. and if pioneer was better in subs i would buy them since thats the head unit i have

thats coo bro......like I said MTX is a very good choice....cant go wrong wit that.....

Its pretty plain and simple the rockford amp.....but the whole top is just a really good heat sink....that amp will never heat up when your listening to rap or anything with very long deep bass.....

anyways its your choice I hope your set-up sounds good!

That MTX you picked is a good choice. And I agree with you on the Pioneer subs. I have 4 of the 3001 (3000 watts) with a 2600W Hi Fonics Brutus and I feel like Im missing something I dont feel the bass in my chest like Im suppose to. My buddy has the 8001 MTX mono with 4 Solobaric L7's, my brain shakes when I ride with him!
