ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Bad H/U and Bad Wires?

Okay heres the problem i just hooked up some speakers(front-fairly new,rear-brand new)but when i try to hook in the FR speaker there is a weird squealing noise and i dont know what it is. Ive tried the left speaker also and it still makes that sound so i figure its not the speakers. What could this be?

Also another question is How do you know if you have a bad H/U? I just got my stereo rewired by a shop for 30 bucks and it worked for like 10 minutes until my brother got in the car and closed the door and then all speakers just stopped. now all i here is a little static type buzz through speakers. But i still have my stock radio so i plugged it in and all speakers work fine(minus FR speaker i left that one out because of that sound(dont want to mess up anything) So do i have a bad h/u i just bought it a month and a half ago(does it matter that it was one of those cheap vr3 wal-mart stereos)

Do you have an SE? They have their own amp and you could be having problems with compatibility. And yes. Throw that VR POS in the trash and buy a decent HU.

Take the door panel off on the r/f door, check the wiring on the speaker, it might of come loose, or a wire could be touching metal, causing it to ground out and make a noise. The squealing sounds like alternator noise, but it wouldn't be coming out of one speaker, if it were alternator noise, it'd be comin outta all the speakers.
