Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    8 inch subs

    has anyone concidered puttin 8 inch subs in the rear deck??

    Ive thought about it. JUst to save weight over the trunk box.

      you'll need free-air subs to do that, not ones that require certain airspace. marine speakers are fairly often free-air.

        most subs can play free air if the amp is setup right. u have to set the filters where the sub wont play too low. i think 8's are too small to do free air. free kinda speaks of 18's and 15's mostly..... because they usually play lower!

              8'inch subs i think wouldn't be all the nice..

              i totally prefer my 2 12inch subs in my trunk

                well i am thinking of two 8s bcuz i want to keep as much trunk space as possible. and the 8s can be covered with the stock 6.5 rear deck covers once modified... at least this is what i am thinkin

                  well on the rear deck on the truck i don't think the'll bump nice because the Truck is acting like a subwoofer box i guess..and that's WAYYYYY too much space..

                  my 2 12's box is almost as big as my whole trunk..

                  but its worth it..it bumps NICE

                    space efficiency wise, your idea is better, but sound and show-off wise u should get bigger ones like 10+

                        4 8's 143.0 dbs on the dash..... nuff said....

                        not tomention i can play rock techno rap jazz blues .... anything really.

                        8's can do the same as 10'a and 12's with less space .... when u get into 15's and 18's ur talking a big difference in ranges as far notes that can be played.

                        what 8's were u thinking about geting???? i have hands on Digital designs and memphis's 8's and both have please me and can handle way more power then they need.

                          well the 8s i wanted are RockFord Fosgate P2. i was thinking about the moiunng again. it was mentioned earlier that, it would sound to great just sitting on the rear deck using the trunk as the enclosure, not in those exact works but similar. i am thinking of creating small ported enclosures that will hang through the rear deck and eleminate the trunk bars.

                          any opinions??...

                              92accord has the right idea. I was thinkin the something like that. A small enclosure you could bolt to the rear deck from inside the trunk.
