ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Use some rear speaker pods from a 92-93 ex, not sure if 90-91 ex's came with them,

Then you will be able to fit 6x9 speakers with the oem look,

there are spacers, but i would not recommend those.

Not really they are a snug fit so you have line it up. The screw gets to close to the trunk arm.

Got mine at the junkyard. The EX models come with 6x9. I have a 92 lx and it fits perfectly.

6x9 pods and a dash clock ( with a door to cover min/hr/reset buttons that actually Closes) both for $5.00.

you do realize most 6x9 have less sound quality than the 6.5

my body has some that push out 29o max or 330 max and they sound like shit compared to my 300 max

well the 6x9 have a bit better bass response because they are like a compromised 9" woofer with usually a tweeter and hopefully a midrange. But I would normally agree most people wouldnt be able to tell any difference between them.

are you guys sure that the EX 6x9 pods will fit a 90 LX? Im looking at my rear pods and I just cant imagine a pod that will be able to hold a 6x9 with the screw arrangements to hold down the pod!

yes it will fit. the 6x9 seat at an angle in the pod. I too feel that the SQ is better from a 6 1/2. Once a sub is added the difference is mute.

                              6.5 and 6x9

I agree will everyone else. Get the OEM pods and put a nice set of 6x9s in the back. You will enjoy the difference in sound quality. I would use the 6.5" in the front door.

I have a full out system in mine and it is wonderful.
