ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Sirius radio install

Ok, so I've got a Sirius radio receiver, its an NV2, well, I was looking around for a spot to mount it, I'm not finding anything that's not going to inhibit the use of something else, I was thinking about taking the clock out of the dash, seeing if I could somehow mold it into that opening... Anyone else have this same receiver, or any receiver that came up with a creative way or location to mount it?

x46 on same place as G-Man.

Only downside is its above the DS side defrost vent. Gets a little hot.

I contemplated putting it in front of the clock, but i lov emy clock and i already have my fuzz-buster there, so...

Thought about putting it in the same place but on the Pass. side...

            I gotz teh remotez, so....

Put mine there too, moved it up a bit so the defrost air misses it, mostly. Ran the wires down through the AC vent there and then back around, got them out of my way.

the InV2 only comes with a double sided tape mount. you can put it anywhere you have the space. on my cb7, there is an empty slot right above the radio (ppl normally put there alarm LED in it). you can probably use that slot. cut a lil slit in it for the wiring and everything would look nice and hidden. or pickup a window mount and suction it

Personally i would put it somewhere that looks good. I like your clock idea put i think the space is a little too small for that and your wiring of that would be a bitch. But if it had a remote it does not matter really if you can see it all that well while driving or rather reach it with your hand. I would prob do something unconventional and be different,

make a bracket in the factory or aftermarket pocket just below the stereo.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I made a mount, and have it in a cup holder under my deck. Have full access to everything, and its out of the way.

                        but no cupholder now...

you can actually buy a universal bracket and it mounts to the right side of the radio, therefore being at hands reach, and not taking functionality away from anything else

Doesn't the 12 plug block that cup holder anyway? Did mine, I can get a Red Bull in there, nothing bigger than that.
