Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Door speakers

    Here's the deal: I got some new door speakers, after taking the stock speakers out, I realized that the speaker is too big for the little pod thing. Has anyone ditched that mounting location and got rid of the stock grill and mounted the speakers outside the door, where the stock grill is? like made a piece of mdf and replaced the grill with that?

    i've seen molded fiberglass, i had the same problem with mine, i just made the opening in the speaker pod a little bigger, used some new mounting screws and called it a day. the only problem i had with doing it that way was trying to seal them up.

      If you dremmel out the baskets the speakers will fit unless you're talking about too big as in bigger than 6.5" If you look in one of my threads I put some pics of my speakers. You also have to make some spacers to keep the window from hitting the speaker magnets.

        Looks good. So I took out my rear speaker pods, the speakers are too big for those too. Why can't shit be easy??? oh well. This weekend is gonna be a busy one, putting the new motor in my car, its not an H22... yet... maybe in the future... Thanks for the info

          The fronts were definately harder than the rears for me...after all that dremelling I rolled the windows down only to hear a big clank while the window was only half way down...doh. Luckily I found some plastic tubes laying around just big enough for the screws...lol. It also wasn't too easy to get my fosgate wire through the firewall(there is a hole already there but i had to drill it out bigger). GL with the engine swap.

            why not just sure 3/4" mdf and make adapter spacsers, i fit 7" mid in my door with out altering the factory look of my door panels just take your time be patient and "get er done".

              I was actually thinking of using some particle board. I think it'd be fairly easy... unfortunately Home Depot is closed now, so it'll have to wait. I would like to get creative and do some fiberglass work... anyone know where I can get some kick panels? I've seen some on Ebay, they went for like 30 bux, shipped... I snoozed on those ones
