ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

alright, is the amp being placed in the trunk somewhere? you can ground it anywhere where theres bare metal, like under the cardboard back there. you will first need to sand away some of the finish for it to be bare, then drill a small hole and use a self-tapping scew. be sure to also use the correct gauge wire that the amp terminal accepts, such as 8 or 4 gauge.(not sure for your amp). also, use a ring terminal to crimp the wire into, then screw it down.

I used the bracket also to ground my 4gu. distro blocks. No problems here, just scrap the paint and sand it good for bare metal.

Since you located the amp on the back seat,
choose a proper point which is nearest to it.
I'd recommend the bolt of the rear seat-belt.
Remember the baring work and keep all amps
                  grounded at the same point.

if your gonna be drillin down, be careful not to puncture the gas tank. it's suggested to use an existing bolt on the car, such as a seatbelt bolt suggested above.

if ur going to do that at least scratch the paint where the wire is going to be sitting under that seatbelt bolt.

i usually just use self tapping screws into solid metal and call it a day.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

self tappers work wonderfully, but i have had the situations where they get rusted over time or become loose. the bolts will stay on no matter what, just make sure its bare metal.

usually what i do is i put one self tap in the middle of the terminal...the 2 on each of the sides.

i then put something on top of it that blocks rust or stuff like putty or liquid tape or even grease if its an issue...and then a little plastic over it if that is ever an issue.

I used the ground wire that comes out of the tank access hole.
