ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    question about pioneer cd player

i have the pioneer deh-p3900mp cd player with the 1 i-buss port in the back. wut im woundering is i already have the ipod interface pluged into that port, and i was also wanting to add the interface for sirrius sat radio. is it possiable to run both interfaces or do need to chosse one?

hmmmmm, i just got a Pioneer AVIC and i had seperate Ip-Bus plugins... one for XM and the other for my ipod.

Good question though, i would assume you can only run one though...

You have an AUX input and you can just run the ipod to that... the only bad thing is that it won't charge your ipod.

yea thats wut i was thinking. i like the feature of being able to change my ipod with my remote. i guess ill just keep running my sirius through my aux port i just wish that was on the back of the radio insted of the front. but i could upgrade to one with the extra ibuss port

So is your sirius EXternal right now?

Because when i had my Alpine, i had the XM extertal and it was wired through a FM transmittor (Which worked great btw) and i had my ipod connected to the back of the Alpine (Similar to the Pioneers and there IBus Cable)

I mean, for a Single Din i would just run the XM/Sirius externally. I never even liked controlling my ipod through the HU anyway, too much work. It would probably be even harder with the XM hooked up too.

But if you're looking to upgrade, AVIC-D3... Beatiful system. I have XM and my ipod hooked up, the system really is phenominal.

Yeah... i would think it's pain in the ass to control XM through a Single Din HU, i never done it. But after controlling my ipod through a singlie din, i thought that was annoying and XM/Sirius would probably be the same.

yes you can hook up both through the same port. on that little ipod box cd-ib100II or whatever its called. there are 2 ports on that one called ipod in one called ipod out. use whichever port isn't being used on that box, and you can hook up the ipod box and sat radio box in a series that way.

controlling ipord xm/sirius is cake on the pioneers. its not hard at all at least on my 6900ub. now for the ip bus u should have a open one on the ipod box itself.

You are correct. I have a Pioneer 980BT and it only has 1 ipbus. However I have my Sirius and Ipod adapter going thru it. The ipod adapter does have 2 ports (1 in, 1 out). When you have them both plugged up, the headunit just sees it as another input. it even has the name right. Example of Selections: Cd player, Ipod, Siruis, Tuner, Bluetooth Audio, and Telephone.

Pioneer and Alpine have the sat radio and ipod integration down.

cool that works for me. i was hoping that it would work. cause im really tryin to make the interior of my car alittle more appealing. so you say that even if my sirus is plugged into my ipod box it will still read on there as another input?
