ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Try using whatever window cleaner you have and some steel wool. Believe it or not steel wool does not scratch the glass, I speak from much experience. I have used this method many times at the detail shop I work at. Im not saying that its ok to HULK out on the window with steel wool, but normal scrubbing action is fine.

Do you have a buffer? If not try a cleaner wax and elbow grease if it's just hard water spots. The clay bar is made to remove contaminates in the paint and will not really work for hard water stains

Chances are the windows have been etched by acidic water.

Some places online sell an actual glass polish specifically for this purpose (Zaino Glass polish, Duragloss NuGlass, etc.)...except you'd need a decent buffer to get anything accomplished there. Try using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, and maybe some vinegar...I've heard people have had luck removing etching from glass with those. If those don't work, I'd try and find someone with a decent random-orbit buffer.

                depends on what grade.

i like to try and use the least agressive method and work my way up.

in order of aggressiveness (from least to most), you 'd want to try:

wash with car soap mixture and dry
                glass cleaner
                vinegar
                clay bar
                chrome polish
                glass polish
                later.

Try rainX? Idk that stuff is supposed to get into microscopic pores of the glass, thats why water beads off the window when that is applied. And are you sure your tint isn't scratched from the inside causing those vertical streaks?

p.s. Don't forget that steel wool has grades of fineness e.g. 0000 is I believe the most fine and therefore less likely of scratching your glass(I've used steel wool on auto windows with good results)

Use a microfiber cloth and nail polish remover. You said you have tint on those windows? Could be underneath the tint.
