ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

the only way to get any kind of comfortable ride will to replace the cheap springs for a quality set, matched with the appropriate struts.

You may want to, stop using all caps....I dont know...
But yes, usually when you put on some STIFF shocks the bouncing reduces a little.......
but What would work even better is getting some non-ebay springs...

please stop the all caps ...its such a bitch to read ....if you get some good struts it will help becasue his struts are prolly blown however he should get better springs aswell. Suspension is something you dont want to cheap out on

eventhough he has a good set of shocks but the springs have high rate, it will still bounce.

Shocks are only going to compensate for so much spring recoil. Like said above, a higher spring rate means a more bouncy ride. And suspension IS NOT the place to go cheap.

If you keep your eyes open, some quality springs and shocks pop up every once in a while (on ebay and the classifieds on here), just have to make sure they are authentic. Later

                        quick question

ok quik question , i have the shocks that came on my car (stock i guess) and i put coilovers on it and dropped the car probably 3 inches .. it didnt bounce much but instead it just bottoms out and hits what seems the to be the end of the shocks... so if i put new shocks do you guys think itll stop bottoming out and bounce instead ?

Yeah, your stock shocks are probably destroyed. Slamming your car on stock shocks (especially when they're 15 years old or more, with over 100k on them) is a very bad idea... dangerous as well.
