ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

There is a technique I use on my model airplane canopies that I wonder would work on headlights:
FUTURE FLOOR WASH
It's floor polish, liquid acrylic. Cheap, and usually available at your local grocery store in the cleaning isle.
A lot of the clear canopies in my models have scratches, and some of them are even scuffed by accident or from sandpapering the injection mold seams away, leaving the surface "frosty" and actually not able to be see-thru. With the canopy (which can fit in your hand), I dip it in the liquid acrylic and let it dry. The liquid fills in all the scratches and abrasions. Then, after it dries, the hardened layer is now clear and can also be buffed into a magically completely-clear shine.
I wonder if a similar method can be devised for the headlights. As in coat the glass with a layer of liquid acrylic future floor wash (filling in scratches/abrasions, and essentially giving the outter layer of the headlights an acrylic clearcoat), and then treating that outter layer as you would plastic lenses, being able to buff them and shine them accordingly. You can airbrush the stuff on, or if you have the lenses off, maybe dip them?
Just a thought. Ive been meaning to try these out on mine soon. My lenses are crap anyway, so it can't get anyworse. They've got rock chips and dings that let the air/water in already, and they have those ugly USDM nipples. I'll post results if I end up trying this out next week.Last edited by BlackPearl2006; 03-13-2008, 06:39 AM.

Hey take out those headlights and try this.
Get a lathe with a polishing wheel.. You can pick one of these up at el cheapo tools made in china crap. Get some glass polish paste or cream and apply a good amount to the wheel and to the headlight... work the headlight around the lathe till it takes of the bad layer of glass and voila you have new headlights.
HOWEVER often crap gets caked inside the headlight which is harder to clean out but since you already took them out. I think there is a way to unscrew the glass part and clean the inside. otherwise you could use a drill with an extension and a polishing bit on the end and maybe get at it from the lamp hole.
My uncle was a detailer and had a system that he could clean out the insides by just removing the lamp. I tell you what it makes a HUGE difference in brightness and looks.AD5OS
