ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Shift Knob Question

    hi,

i'm fairly new to tuning in general. i was wondering, are there aftermarket shift knobs made specifically for cb7's or will most aftermarket shift knobs fit?
My 1992 honda accord LX 5 spd.

Anything that fits on Hondas are pretty much universal. Greddy, trust, Spoon, Mugen, Skunk2.... the list is endless.

thanks man. is this the case with the "shift bag" as well? if not, what are some brands that make them specifically for cb7's?

If you want to keep your shift boot, you are stuck with accord (CBs, CDs), prelude (BBs), and integra (DAs) knobs. I have the OE accessory leather shift knob for the 97-01 prelude right now. I love it.

I am going to get a 90-93 integra knob, I like the "window" shift pattern on top.

haha no bro. most shifters have the same weith as any other shifter. so pretty much any import car shift nob fits.

If you are trying to get a shift boot with a round top as opposed to the square style on the CB, you should try one from a civic. I have not done this, but thats the first route I would try. That way, if it fits in our consoles, you can use any aftermarket knob with a cleaner finished product.

so just to clarify, if i wanna change the shift boot, my options are
cb's, cd's, prelude, and integra shift boots?

Possibly. I know that the top of the boots have the square part that attaches to the knob. The bases may or may not be the same, but if you want the round, universal knob, it doesn't matter.
