my cousin is having a guy do his for $100
is this a good deal?

If he does a good job that's a great deal. Usually I hear of people spending $50-$75 for a single rim.

At a local shop here, they strip off everything on the rim, recoat it, and powdercoat it for 50 bucks a rim... 100 for a full set redone is a good price if the place knows what they are doing

Wait till your cousins rims are finished. If they look good, its obviously a wicked deal. If they look half assed then your better off going somewher else
