ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

      Get 6000k

I wish I would have gotten 4300k or 5000k personally, I have 6000k and its pretty bright and has a tint of blue. I like it until I drive next to an acura tsx though

        Why, is the tsx brighter?

The TSX uses projectors, which are the major factor in their color (or lack thereof), as well as the beam pattern and cutoff. The TSX projector retrofit is a very popular mod for our cars, in both USDM glass lights and JDM plastic one piece lights.

I have a 6000k kit in my GTP that I purchased from Reason here on the board (great product, fast service). I also have an OEM BMW setup going through Audi A4 projectors in my CB7. The Audi projectors make for a very nice pattern. I don't know the temp of those, but they're similar in color to the 6000k.

IMO, 6000k is the best to get. It's clean white, while retaining the look of HID. If you go lower than 6000k, you still get nice bright light, but to me it looks more like Silverstar bulbs, or something along those lines.

8000k is a little TOO blue... and more than that is just ridiculous. I've seen some pretty funky colors!

x2. I think even 6,000 isn't awful because you get some color, but anything more that is probably going to hurt your output.

I don't know what K value mine is, but it's not crazy blue and I really like it. It's very similar to the 6000K kit Eric (R33) is using in his Integra.

I have seen the 4300 and 6k. Personally I am divided between them. I prefer the color of the 4300, but like illumination the 6k gives. I know I prefer to have the 4300's in my rear view mirror.

sorry, but the 3.2 tl doesnt have 12000k hid bulbs. they are 4300k hid bulbs. If you truly thought they were really blue. either you saw them during the day since hids looks more bluer in the day or the bulbs were super old as hid bulbs turn blue as they age.

the recommended temp for hid bulbs are 4300-6000k for low beam. fogs are 3000k since it is best to have light reflected off the ground during rain or snow, since 4300-6000k arent able to do that. for low beam, anything above 6k is useless to yourself.

4300 is good. 8000 or more and cops here in florida like to give you a hard time.
