ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

hazard&rear defrost buttons dont light up -- common malady??

My 'hazard lights' button and my 'rear defrost' buttons (above a/c heat controls) function properly BUT they dont light up at night(?) Maybe it's just me...but does anyone else have this problem? I've taken these buttons out, looked at the tiny bulb, played with the harness/connections, even later swapped in/out spare buttons, and even fabricated my own led bulb in there (worked for awhile, but same story eventually)

anyone else have their button just sitting there in the dark? I'm trying to figure out if it's something with my set up or a common malady. i think it was a problem with my other 92ex as well, but i dont remember...
(of course...these are 14-18yr old cars, but just bugs me somehow...

i dont think the hazard light button lights up, there's no light on it, its just a piece of solid black plastic w/ a red triangle on it.

Yeah, mine lights up. Try another switch with out a LED thrown in there. OR check wiring I guess.

haha, i wasnt saying it with a attitude or anything.

I dunno how to change the bulb, I personally wouldnt mess with it bc i can get a new switch for myself easily.

But i dunno, look up cp[mike]'s LEd conversion, you should be able to get an idea from there.

ohh, its one of them? Neo-Wedge t3 bulb. They use the same bulb to light up the Climate Control buttons. Honda part # is 39397-SA5-003. I couldnt find the bulb anywhere else.

haha, yea shipping would kill that.

CHances are they wont have it, and they'll have to order it. I called all the dealers around me, and none of them had it in stock.

oh crap then maybe the junkyard? i know for a fact i've seen like 4 CB's with hazard switche, i could take all the bulbs out and test them in mine. It's usually always the bulb not the switch itself right? b/c i kinda can't tell since the damn bulb is so small if its blown or not

eh, i switched em out afew times, and they crap out soon after (again) -- it was just something i notice. i ended up adding a new bigger red LED for the hazards, wiring it from somehwere else and having it turn on with the headlight, but my defrost still sux...ill take it apart when it gets warmer outside... i dont know if its cuz the harnesses are always next to the vent has to do with anything (always changing in temperature)
