ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    drop

im looking for either a good strut and spring combo or a decent priced and decent set of coil overs for my wagon. something not to stiff and not to soft. i have TEIN SS on my CD5, but dont really want to spend that much for the wagon. also the wagon will be more of a daily instead of a track type car. any suggestions and links would be greatly appreciated.

    in advance MAHALO

Strut and Spring combo is the cheapest way to go. Tein Basics arent bad. They are cheaper and they offer a nice ride. I have a set on my car. Its a little too soft for my taste but it absorbs bumps and crap pretty well.

At 2.5, you are going to need to drop some coin on shocks so you don't beat yourself to death.

Ive heard alot of people say alot of good things about megan coilovers. My brother has a set on his s2000 and they are sweet. 32 way adjustable. its nice to be able to adjust dampening stiffness not only ride height. For everyday transit to work still have comfort. For the weekends stiff for the street battles.

This is my 91 accordwagon ex-r her name is Layshia

This is my other wagon her name is Tangy

Tein H-Tech with Tokico HP. You will love it. It actually makes the ride more comfortable

edit: also add some Suspension Technique Sway Bars and you are gold

Megan coilovers = roughly $900 off eBay. A Tokico HP setup would end up costing just over $400 shipped and would probably meet your needs just fine.

Well, coil overs are worthy, but for that much, might as well get teins.

Tein basics are 750. Omnipowers are 650 BUT they are a stiff ride and if comfort is what your looking at omnis are not the way to go. Megans are equivalent to the Apexi coil over unit ibecause Apexi made it.
