ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

that leather was nice...but not really up for buying stuff right now and I don't have any parts to swap. Not a bad idea to look in the for sale section though.

which was why I was super curious about using dye...cheaper...someday I'll upgrade to leather...but I'll have to do quit a bit more before that stage is set

Get a few kiddie pools for dying!

both of these guys hit it on the head for the vinyl/plastic use the SEM vinyl paint from an auto parts store. (its what actuall upholsters use)

as for the "dying" of the fabric for the seats i reccomend against it every dye job i have every seen has bled or had overspray on other ares of the car. colors dont match and tend to fade quickly. i reccomend taking the seats and getting them recovered or finding grey or black seats.

good luck in all your plans though man. i miss my accord now...

Man. I love my seats. I don't want to get rid of them. I guess if you take the time and you're careful enough doing the job it can turn out pretty good. I was planning on experimenting on trash fabric and plastic before actually trying to paint my interior.

        What happened to your Accord?

From what I have learned here and online about those sprays is that yes they are permanent. SEM seems to be highly recommanded for things like dash boards and after surfing on the net, VHT seems to be pretty good for seats as long as you're careful enough and take your time to do the job properly in order not to put too much paint at one spot while there's not enough at other places because that way the color won't match.

Here you have the descriptions, prices for VHT cans and what exactly they're are for.

I just can't wait till summer to start working on it.

            Good Luck with yours.

VHT is NOT suitable for use on cloth or fabric. To change the color of stock cloth seats, you'll either have to have them reupholstered or use a fabric-specific dye.

Really? Hm. I've been on their website and not just it says they have paint for seats but there's even a picture of them on one of their cans. Are they lying about it? Just wondering why they would say it's for seats if they aren't really.
