ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    So Snow and Salt?

What's the best tips for keeping your car body in pristine condition. I have a 91 Accord Lx Auto, 96k and its body is it really good condition i.e. no rust. Yet when I see my baby covered in salt, will that hurt it? what's the best way to keep rust out in the winters seeing as I'm from CT, and don't have a garage etc.

I get the power washer and spray down my springs and bushings and undercarriage after the storm. I also get the hose and run my finger along the inner lip of the quarter panel, where allot of the salt and dirt builds up. Seems to work though, because my car doesn’t have one spot of rust.

you should wash after the snowstorm or lil while after when theres only a lil bit of snow left so you wont have to wash it twice but wash it regularly

As long as it's sunny I just rinse off the undercarriage, calipers, and rims. It's cold as hell but in the end it's worth it for my baby.

Wash it at least once a week. Get a decent coat of wax on it. Make sure to clean out any body seams and other areas where salt may try to hide. If you see any signs of rust, treat it IMMEDIATELY. You can get a small spray bottle of naval jelly at Pep Boys for about $5. If you see rust beginning to form, spray some on it, let it sit for about a minute, then rinse thoroughly with water. Treat it with a rust inhibitor when done.

Ever since I started to go to school in IL the tips I have gotten are wash your car weekly and wax it good. That will help keep the road salt and such off.

Well I took physics in high school but I transferred from my other college. I dont think they took that credit. If not they will probably put you in some 100 class. For example they stuffed me in PLB115 (plant biology) which is easy but I choose not to work hard in that class.

I'm in Nova Scotia and salt and snow is terrible. It's impossible for me to wash the car most of the time because it's rarely above freezing this time of year. If I washed it I'd have a big sheet of ice on the driveway and wouldn't be able to get up it.
